Austrian pianist Mitra Kotte is an award-winning artist, widely acclaimed for her interpretations of works from the Viennese Classical Style. Following her Featured Artist nomination by Jeunesse - Austria in 2022, she has become a regular guest at major Austrian institutions including the Vienna Konzerthaus, Vienna Musikverein, and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). For the 2025/26 season, Kotte was selected as a soloist for the Austrian Foreign Ministry's program "The New Austrian Sound of Music".
As both a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed at prestigious festivals including the International Bruckner Festival Linz, Carinthian Summer, Septembre Musical Montreux-Vevey, Palermo Classica, Ljubljana Festival, Dialoge Salzburg, Oberösterreichische Stiftskonzerte, and Liszt Festival Raiding as well as at leading venues such as the Tonhalle Zürich, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Münchner Künstlerhaus, Accademia Filarmonica Romana and Dublin’s National Concert Hall. She has collaborated as a soloist with orchestras such as the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck, Budafok Dohnányi Orchestra, and Tehran Symphony Orchestra.
In 2025, shereleased her debut album Herstory, featuring works by female composers of the 19th and 20th centuries, on the Genuin Classics label.
Born in Vienna, Mitra Kotte began her musical training at the age of four. She completed her piano studies under the guidance of Martin Hughes at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she also studied Chamber Music with Stefan Mendl. Further studies led her to Daejin Kim at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul and Till Fellner at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. She received additional musical impulses from Sir András Schiff, Lang Lang, Maria João Pires, and Paul Badura-Skoda, among others.
